Is this you?

  • You’re always the one behind the camera, and rarely in the photos yourself.

  • You’ve got hundreds (maybe thousands) of shots on your phone, but only a handful you really love.

  • You love the idea of capturing real, everyday moments… but somehow the photos you take don’t quite feel like them.

  • You’ve tried getting everyone to “just smile” for the camera, and ended up with fake grins, goofy faces, or frustrated sighs.

  • You wish you could take photos that actually look as beautiful as the moment felt.

  • You’ve been meaning to print your photos for years… but they’re now buried in the cloud.

If you’re nodding along, you’re in the right place.

This course will help you take the kind of photos you’ll still be glad you have 10, 20, 30 years from now, and help you build a system to finally get them off your phone and into your hands.

Why this matters

Childhood isn’t just big milestones. It’s the hundreds of tiny, ordinary moments that quietly make your family’s story.

The way your toddler climbs into your lap without asking.

The way their hair curls after bath time.

The mismatched socks. The morning light through the kitchen window. The sound of laughter coming from the garden.

These moments are gone before you even realise they’ve changed. And here’s the hard truth: you can’t go back and re-take them later.

In years to come, you won’t care if the photo was taken in your “perfect” home or on your best camera.
You’ll care that you have it.
You’ll care that it makes you feel something.
You’ll care that it helps your children remember who they were, and how deeply they were loved.

This course will help you capture those moments, so you can stop worrying about getting the “perfect shot” and start keeping the memories that matter most.

What other parents are saying

Hi, I’m Johanna!

I’ve been photographing families for over 11 years, but the most important photos I’ve ever taken are of my own kids.

When my daughter was born, I had thousands of pictures on my phone within months… and almost none printed. It felt overwhelming. I didn’t just want more photos, I wanted the right ones, the ones that would tell her what her childhood was really like.

Not just the birthdays and perfect smiles, but the mornings in pyjamas, the messy snack times, the hugs after tears.

Over the years, I figured out how to take meaningful photos in the middle of busy family life, and how to organise and print them without feeling buried in my camera roll.

Now, I want to help you do the same, so your kids can grow up seeing themselves in the story of your family, every day.

You don’t need more “perfect” photos.

You need the ones that will still matter in 20 years.

The ones your kids will laugh over, point at, and say, “I remember that.”

This course will give you:

  • The skills to capture natural, beautiful photos, even in the middle of everyday chaos.

  • The confidence to know which moments matter most.

  • A simple workflow so your best photos don’t stay trapped on your phone.

You’ll finish with photos you love, and a way to enjoy them every day: framed on your walls, in albums, or held in your hands.

Let’s make it happen.

Questions Parents Asked Before About The Course

Will I really be able to take better family photos after this course?

Yes, you absolutely will! While I can’t promise you’ll become a professional photographer or win awards, I can promise that you’ll start taking better family photos by the end of this course. And by "better," I mean more meaningful, more creative, sharper, and capturing more genuine moments. Plus, I promise it’ll be a lot more fun!

How long will this course take me to complete?

The course was originally designed to be completed in 4 weeks, but it’s completely up to you how quickly or slowly you go! If you'd like to take your time, you can dedicate around 2 weeks to each module. Or, if you're eager to dive in, you can binge-watch everything in just one week.

Each module contains bite-sized videos (under 10 minutes), with the total running time not exceeding 45 minutes. After that, it’s all about how much you want to practice. Whether you spend just 15 minutes a day or do everything at once, you’ll be in control of your pace!

How long do I have access for?

You’ll have lifetime access to the course, which means you can log in and revisit the material whenever you like, for as long as the course is available. This includes any future updates or additions to the content, so you can learn at your own pace and come back to the lessons whenever you need a refresher. You’re in control of how you go through the course!

Do I need a DSLR or Advanced Phone Camera for this course?

You don't. The best camera is the one you have in your hands. It is only a tool. You can create beautiful and meaningful photos with any camera. Some cameras DO have limitations and I will teach you to recognise those limitations and work around them.

Do I need to submit any of the assignments?

No, you don't have to submit anything. However, sharing your practice in the Private Facebook Group is a great way to receive feedback and stay accountable. Plus, it’s a supportive space to connect with myself and other students!

Will the online course be accessible on my phone?

It will and plenty of students completed the course on their phones. However, for an improved experience, I would encourage you to watch the videos / visual content on a bigger screen.

I am a total beginner, is this course for me?

This course is a beginners course built for parents who don't have any specific knowledge in photography as well as parents who are further along in their journey.

Is there any feedback or support offered with this course?

This course doesn’t include live Zoom calls or one-on-one feedback, but I’m active in the Private Facebook group and do my best to answer questions and respond to posts. While my availability depends on the time of year and workload, I love seeing your photos and progress!
